Where are you located?
We’re located at 1027 Riverview Drive in Gardnerville, Nevada, right along the beautiful Carson River and surrounded by century-old cottonwoods.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open 9am – 4pm daily. Our hours vary seasonally with daylight, but we’re typically open from sunrise to sunset. The pro shop opens 30 minutes before the first tee time.

Are you open year-round?
Yes! We’re open all year, weather permitting. Snow days are rare in Carson Valley, but we always post updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages if the course is closed.
Do you allow outside food or alcohol?
Outside alcohol is not permitted in accordance with Douglas County liquor laws. We offer a great selection of beverages and snacks at our bar & grill and from our on-course beverage cart.
Do you have a dress code?
Golf attire is appreciated but not required. We keep it casual — collared shirts are preferred, and denim is allowed. We just ask that players wear soft-spike golf shoes or athletic footwear.
Can I bring a friend who will not be playing golf?
Yes, non-playing guests are welcome for a small cart fee. For safety reasons, children (17 years or younger) who are not playing golf are not allowed on the course.
Tee Times & Rates
How do I book a tee time?
Tee times can be booked online at carsonvalleygolf.com or by calling the pro shop at 775-265-3181.
How far in advance can I reserve?
Up to 30 days in advance here
What are your rates?
Rates vary by season and time of day. Visit our Rates page for the most current pricing.
Do you offer senior or junior discounts?
We offer discounted rates for juniors, and twilight play.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that cancellations or changes be made at least 24 hours in advance. No-shows or short shows will be charged a fee.
Do you have a rain check policy?
It rarely rains in Carson Valley so we do not issue rain checks. However, if something unexpected happens when you are playing and you must leave the course we will add a small cash credit to your account.
The Golf Course
How many holes do you have?
Carson Valley Golf Course is full USGA regulated 18-hole, par-71 layout with scenic fairways that wind along the Carson River.
Do you have a driving range or practice area?
Yes — we have a driving range, practice putting green, and chipping area.
Do you rent clubs or pull carts?
Yes, we offer club rentals, pull carts, and golf carts.
Are golf carts required?
No, walking is welcome and encouraged.
Are non-playing adults and children allowed?
Yes, non-playing riders are welcome for a small cart fee. For safety reasons, children (17 years or younger) who are not playing golf are not allowed on the course.
What is your pace-of-play policy?
We ask players to keep up with the group ahead. A typical round should take about 4 hours.
Lessons & Clinic
Do you offer lessons?
Yes! Our Carson Valley Golf Academy offers private lessons, group clinics, and junior programs for all skill levels.
Who are your instructors?
Our team includes PGA professionals and experienced instructors who love helping players improve and enjoy the game.
How do I book a lesson?
Call the pro shop or visit our Instruction page to schedule.
Events & Outings
Can I host a tournament or group outing?
Absolutely. We specialize in corporate events, charity tournaments, and local fundraisers. Take a look here for more information
Do you host weddings or parties?
We are great at hosting golf tournaments but not at hosting weddings. For special friends we are happy to offer the opportunity to take some pictures, but please contact us about this as golf course are not safe locations to wander on to for pictures!
Do you offer catering?
Yes, our team can provide food and beverage service for any event, from sandwiches to BBQs.
Clubhouse & Amenities
Do you have food and drinks available?
Yes — our bar serves snacks, and beverages daily.
Do you have a pro shop?
Our Pro Shop is fully stocked with apparel, balls, gloves, and accessories.
Do you offer club repair?

Family & Community
Do you have programs for kids?
Yes — our junior clinics and summer programs are a great way for kids to learn and have fun outdoors.
Are pets allowed?
Service animals are permitted on the golf course. Thank you for respecting this policy.
Weather & Policies
What happens if there’s bad weather?
We rarely close, but if weather makes play unsafe, we’ll issue a cash credit to your account.
What should I do if I lose something on the course?
Check with the Pro Shop Lost & Found — we do our best to reunite players with lost items
What is your No Show and Short Show policy?
Is you can not make your tee time or you will have less players than anticipated, please let us know ASAP. If we do not hear from you or you show up with less players that anticipated, we reserve the right to charge you for the unused tee times.
